Sally Spencer-Thomas, PsyD, est psychologue clinicienne et conférencière internationale. Dr. Spencer-Thomas was moved to work in suicide prevention after her younger brother, a Denver entrepreneur, died of suicide after a difficult battle with bipolar condition.

Le Dr Spencer-Thomas a été invitée à s'exprimer à la Maison Blanche sur les thèmes de la santé mentale et de la prévention du suicide et a occupé des postes de direction au sein de la National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention, de l'International Association for Suicide Prevention, de l'American Association for Suicidology et de la National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Elle a reçu de nombreux prix pour son leadership, notamment le prix "Survivor of the Year" 2014 de l'American Association of Suicidology, le prix "Impact Honors" 2014 de l'Invisible Disabilities Association, le prix "Alumni Master Scholar" 2012 de l'université de Denver, le prix "Farbarow" 2015 de l'International Association for Suicide Prevention et le prix "Career Achievement Alumni Award" 2016 de la Graduate School of Professional Psychology de l'université de Denver.

Elle est titulaire d'un doctorat en psychologie clinique de l'université de Denver, d'un master en gestion des organisations à but non lucratif de l'université Regis et d'une licence en psychologie et en arts plastiques avec une mineure en économie du Bowdoin College.
