Description

When clients’ reproductive stories don’t go according to script, it’s hard to know how to best support them.

That’s especially the case with infertility and pregnancy loss, where hopes shatter and decisions weigh heavy...

...like whether to try to conceive again, when to utilize assisted reproductive technology, who to tell about what’s going on, and how to grieve.

Without training in reproductive mental health, therapists run the risk of feeling lost in the complexity of what their clients are experiencing... or of diminishing the importance of the situation in the short- and long-term.

Whether you already specialize in treating individuals seeking parenthood or are just starting out, attachment offers an essential framework for understanding how clients relate to the experience of creating a family.

And by extension, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) provides a roadmap for intervention with both individuals and couples.

Watch Dr. Kristy Koser, LPCC, fertility counseling expert to get the skills you need to:

  • Effectively respond to common couples’ issues, including unhelpful communication patterns and overwhelm
  • Help clients make decisions about their reproductive story
  • Navigate ethical issues in the field of reproductive mental health

By the end of this dynamic training, you’ll be able to work with clients who are faced with challenging decisions about family planning after receiving devastating news.
